My Own Turning Point

When my marriage ended, I found myself without a fixed home. It would have been sensible to rent somewhere quickly, keep my head down, and focus on security.

Instead, I spent three months on the North Coast of Wales, then three months in Australia, running my business from wherever I happened to be.

Why? Because I was not willing to accept the story that I had to play small or settle for less. That mindset led me to my dream home and a business that keeps growing even when the path has not been perfectly smooth.

Five Steps to Start Your Own Freedom Based OT Business

1. Decide what you really want. Not the safe watered down version.
2. Immerse yourself in inspiring stories. Books, podcasts, and people who have done what you want to do.
3. Repeat new beliefs until they stick. Your brain rewires through repetition.
4. Surround yourself with the right people. Spend less time with those who pull you back.
5. Take imperfect action. Waiting to feel ready just delays your results.

The Bottom Line

Freedom does not come from another degree or another certificate. It comes from making a decision, believing in it fully, and being determined enough to see it through.
